Kids & teens

We love kids and teens. And, they’ll love the journey that awaits them.

At Phos, the life of getting to know God is nothing short of a grand adventure.

KIDS: Every Sunday, kids age 6 weeks - 6th grade have class on the kid hall during the 9:30 and 11 AM services.  Sunday Fun Days (when kids are encouraged to bring a friend for a fun surprise on Adventure Island) are the first Sunday of every month.  Baptisms (when we have them) are on the second Sunday of each month.  Kids age 2 through 6th grade are escorted by their teacher into and out of the worship center to watch.  Singing Sundays (when kids age 2 through 5th grade are invited from their classes to join the rest of the church in worship time) are on the third Sunday of each month.  And, Drill Days (when classes take a few minutes to review and practice emergency procedures) are on the fourth Sundays of every other month (in February, April, June, August, October and December).  And, five times a year, in the months with five Sundays, we will have some special guests joining us in class that the kids will love on the 5th Sundays of the month (January 29, April 30, July 30, October 29 and December 31)! If you have any questions at all please email Laura@PhosChurch.com.

TEENS: Teens are a vital part of Phos Church.  At Phos, we desire that all teens learn to follow Jesus with their lives.  Phos teen life is driven by their Sunday night group time together.  Teen groups meet in homes (girls) or at the church building (guys) during the school year on most Sunday nights from 6 - 8 PM.  Teens arrive at their assigned group location at 6 PM to eat dinner, play games, build great friendships and study God's Word together.  On Sunday mornings, middle and high schoolers can attend service at either 9:30 or 11 AM.  To know where your group meets or get any questions answered about teen life at Phos, email Brandon@PhosChurch.com.

If you’re a teen and interested in serving, plan to attend Starting Point the next time it is offered on Sundays during the 11 AM service for classes that introduce students and adults to the church, following Jesus and areas they can serve in the church. RSVP for Starting Point by clicking HERE.

  • Sunday Mornings

KIDS: Here are the details about what is available for kids during the 9:30 and 11:15 AM services on Sunday mornings:

Nursery (newborns through age 1) - All babies are kept warm and snug with our volunteers who love little ones. You can relax knowing your baby is in good hands in a clean, colorful and loving environment.

Toddlers (age 2-3) - The kids in this group hear a Bible story, sing a few songs together and make a craft. The rest of their time is spent making friends and being loved by great volunteers.

Preschool (age 4 through kindergarten) - The preschool kids are off for an adventure together as they move from one thing to the next. They watch an engaging video Bible story, jump around for a song time together and experience lots of learning activities to help them grow and widen their knowledge of who God is.

Early Elementary (1st-3rd grade) - This age group plays energetic games, watches a cartoon Bible story, sings together and then works on a craft.

Late Elementary (4th-5th grade) - These older kids have a great time together learning the Bible. Each week, they learn a new story from the Bible so that they have a full big picture of the whole story of the Bible before going to middle school. They play fun games to memorize Scripture and learn how to really comprehend, study and apply what they read in the Bible to their life.

TEENS: On Sunday mornings in the Teen Room, high schoolers have Bible study at 9:30 AM and middle schoolers at 11:15 AM.

The volunteers who lead the teens and get the chance to journey with them through junior and senior high school are adults who have mature hearts in following God and they definitely still speak the language of teens, enjoy water balloon throw-downs and don’t mind loud music and the occasional late night milkshake run.

If you need directions anywhere for a teen event or have any questions please email Laura Cochran, our Minister to Children & Youth.
