Welcome, we're so glad that you're here. It is our deepest desire to serve and lead you well.
Jeff seeks to preach well, lead well, love well and help Phos Community Church reach her full potential. There’s a lot of moving parts to that, and that’s fine by him because he thrives through variety and innovation.
Jeff is originally from Corbin, Kentucky— the birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken, host of the annual Nibroc Festival and home to Cumberland Falls. He is a graduate of Lynn Camp High School and the University of Kentucky. He moved to this area in 1987 with his wife, Julie, to teach at Oldham County High School and coach football. Also, during that time he directed Centrifuge Youth Camps in Glorieta, New Mexico and Ridgecrest, North Carolina. In 1989, he left teaching to accept a full time Youth Ministry Position at Crestwood Baptist Church where he served for 18 years. Then his plans got interrupted by God’s call to start Phos Community Church, but that’s a longer story for another time.
Jeff and Julie have three kids — Evelyn, Joshua and Kaleb and his ‘hobby’ since they were born has been doing stuff with them! However, he's interested in Hiking, Biking, Whitewater, Fitness, Nutrition, Human High Performance, Theology and Reading — lots and lots of reading.

Place in the World: Wherever I am — really, I enjoy life wherever I am and I find myself thinking all the time — this is the coolest place I’ve ever been.... However, I think the most beautiful place in the world are the trails and woodlands and streams in and around Cumberland Falls State Park.
