We love kids. And, they’ll love the journey that awaits them. The life of getting to know God is nothing short of a grand adventure.
Raising kids is a wild ride!
It's exciting, sometimes scary and one of the most amazing things in the world. We are here to partner with you as you parent. We hope you’ll join us each Sunday morning so your kids can have a tribe of kids they love to be with and adults who love them, too. And, we hope you’ll join us for upcoming kids events, too. Many are for the whole family, so the fun doesn’t stop when you grow up!
Every Sunday, kids age 6 weeks - 5th grade have small group on the kid hall (Adventure Island) during the 9:15 and 10:45 AM services. Here is a sneak peek into what it might look like for your kiddo on Sunday mornings:
Nursery (6 weeks through 18 months)
All babies are kept warm and snug with our volunteers who love little ones. You can relax knowing your baby is in good hands in a clean, colorful and loving environment. This space is also reserved for nursing moms or moms who aren’t quite ready to part from their babes. We invite you to come to the nursery and watch the service with your babies in our comfortable seating and space reserved just for you.
Toddlers (age 1 1/2 - 3 1/2)
The kids in this group hear a Bible story, play games and make crafts. This age is an active age for little guys and we stay just as active in our time together. Most of the time is planned, but at the beginning and end of class, the kids get a little free time to play with each other and with the volunteers who love them so much.
Preschoolers (age 3 1/2 - 5)
The preschool kids are off for an adventure together as they move from one activity to the next. They watch an engaging video Bible story and learn lots through activities that help them grow and widen their knowledge of who God is. Everything they do is focused on helping them know that God loves them and has a plan for their lives.
Early Elementary (K-1st grade)
The kids in this age group play energetic games to get to know each other, watch a cartoon Bible story and then have small group time where they discuss what the Bible story is about. Then, lots of hands-on activities during class time help kids apply what they have learned so they can start not merely listening to God’s Word, but also seeing how it matters for their own lives.
Late Elementary (2nd-3rd grade)
These older kids have a great time together learning about Jesus and the Bible. Each week, they learn a new story from the Bible through a cartoon story and then play fun games to review. Spending time in Scripture during class, they focus on learning how to really comprehend, study and apply what they read.
Preteen (4th-5th grade)
These guys are in their last days as elementary school students. The student ministry is excited for them to move on up, but we want to use this time to prepare them first! In class, the kids watch funny skits that help tell a Bible story and work with their teachers as their small group leaders to help them discuss Scripture and applicable values for this time of their lives.
