Mission: A Revolution of Grace
The story of Jesus dining with a Pharisee and being approached by a sinful woman (Luke 7:36-50) beautifully illustrates how God's grace breaks down social and religious barriers. We're challenged to see that all of us—whether outwardly righteous or openly sinful—are in desperate need of God's forgiveness. The woman's humble act of washing Jesus' feet with her tears shows us the proper response to grace: love and gratitude. This narrative invites us to examine our own hearts. Are we like the self-righteous Pharisee, or do we approach Jesus with the humility and love of the sinful woman? God's grace elevates the lowly and humbles the proud, reminding us that our relationship with Him is not based on our own merits, but on His limitless love and mercy.
